Botox for hyperhidrosis

Our Dermatological Surgery and Laser Unit (DSLU) team at Guy’s Cancer Centre administer Botox injections to treat hyperhidrosis (excess sweating) of the underarms as a private service.

What does botox for hyperhidrosis involve?

We treat excessive underarm sweating by injecting small carefully controlled doses of Botox to block the action of the nerves which activate the sweat glands under the arms.

This treatment usually works well, the effect lasts approximately 2-6 months, although some patients may continue to benefit for 12 months. The treatment can be repeated.

What is the cost?

We are offering this treatment at £500 per dose.
