Mr Tarek El-Toukhy is a consultant gynaecologist with a sub-specialty in reproductive medicine and surgery. He has expertise in reproductive medicine and surgery, including embryo freezing and pelvic ultrasound.

Biography

Mr Tarek El-Toukhy is the clinical lead of the assisted conception unit and HFEA Person Responsible.

He qualified and completed the RCOG-accredited subspecialty training in reproductive medicine and surgery in 1991, before completing a Master’s degree, an MD degree and subspecialty training in reproductive medicine and surgery at Guy’s and St Thomas’ hospitals.

Research and teaching

Tarek has published more than 100 papers, 20 book chapters and lectured widely both nationally and internationally. He is a scientific editor for the British journal of obstetrics and gynaecology (BJOG).
