Clinical expertise

Mr Eskinder Solomon specialises in diagnostic testing (urodynamics) for children’s bladder function, and treats patients with conditions such as:

  • urinary incontinence e.g. bedwetting (enuresis), daytime wetting, bladder over-activity
  • urinary tract problems such as urinary tract infections (UTIs), hydronephrosis and cystic kidneys

He performs procedures to treat urinary conditions, including:

  • video urodynamics (lower urinary tract diagnostics)
  • urethral pressure profilometry
  • ambulatory urodynamics
  • on-table urodynamics
  • perfusion sphinctrometry (RLPP)
  • uroflowmetry and PVR


Biography

Mr Eskinder Solomon is a consultant clinical scientist who specialises in diagnostic tests for functional urological problems.

He works at Evelina London Children’s hospital as part of a multidisciplinary team of paediatric urologists and consultant paediatricians. He performs complex urodynamics investigations such as video and ambulatory urodynamics as well as urethral pressure profilometry.


Research interests

Mr Eskinder Solomon has a strong academic and research interest. He is a member of the International Continence Society, Urodynamics Committee and a recipient of a prestigious NIHR Doctoral Fellowship award.

He has published numerous original research and expert-opinion articles on urodynamics in peer-reviewed journals. He also organises and teaches at national and international courses.
