Biography
Miss Gabriella Gray is a consultant in obstetrics (pregnancy and childbirth) and lead for the labour ward.
Gabriella qualified in internal medicine and haematology. She then trained in obstetrics and gynaecology at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital and University College Hospitals, receiving additional, highly specialised training in maternal medicine. This means she can support pregnancies of mothers affected by a variety of medical conditions such as asthma, hypertension, thyroid and blood disorders.
A mother herself, she understands both the excitement and the anxieties of pregnancy and childbirth. Her ethos is to support prospective parents by both nurturing normality and expertly dealing with complexity. She has excellent working relationships and support from midwives, gynaecologists, anaesthetists, fetal medicine experts, physicians and surgeons.
Research
She is actively involved in teaching and has co-authored papers in highly respected journals. The most recent publications were an invited review in “Best Practice In Obstetrics and Gynaecology” and a book chapter in “Challenging concepts in obstetrics and gynaecology”.
