Clinical expertise

Dr Ann Ozsivadjian is a principal clinical psychologist specialising in autism spectrum disorders (ASD), and within that, mental health in ASD.

She works primarily with children and families but also young adults. In addition, Ann sees children and young people who do not have a neurodevelopmental disorder.

She offers specialist cognitive behaviour therapy, behavioural parenting support, and family-based interventions. She has extensive experience in assessing and treating complex co-occurring emotional and behavioural problems that occur in the context of a neurodevelopmental problem such as ASD and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

Biography

Ann Ozsivadijan is a principal clinical psychologist with extensive post-qualification experience in specialist complex neurodevelopmental disorders. Her research interests and clinical specialism are mental health problems in autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and adapting interventions for young people on the autistic spectrum.

Ann completed her training at Oxford University and has worked at the Michael Rutter Centre, Maudsley Hospital in various research and clinical roles. Since qualifying, Ann has worked at Evelina London in a regional complex neurodisability service where she was the lead psychologist for several years and had a key role in developing intervention services for young people and families with neurodiverse issues.

2003: Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Oxford University)

Teaching

Ann has delivered several national training events for professionals working in the field, and has given lectures at a number of national and international conferences.

Publications

She has also published and collaborated on a number of research projects. She is the author of the book ‘Helping your autistic child’, published by Little Brown Book Group.
