Advanced tests for endocrine and bone health
We offer a number of dynamic function tests at our recently renovated day unit, including:
- growth hormone stimulation tests

- short synacthen test
- oral glucose tolerance test
- water deprivation test
- Dexamethasone suppression tests
- 3 day, 3 week HCG tests
- blood, urine biochemistry and imaging where necessary
- zoledronic acid infusions for patients with osteoporosis
All endocrine blood and urine tests, as well as dynamic function tests can be performed at Evelina London. Our service uses the latest DXA Lunar machine to assess bone and metabolic health, that can also offer VFA (bone density) views of the spine.
We have also arrange imaging for bone age, ultrasound and MRI scans where required.
