Expert physiotherapists to help you get back to good health
All our physiotherapists are members of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapist (MCSP) and Health Professionals Council (HPC). As experts in their fields they also lecture for the undergraduate and master’s level physiotherapy courses at King’s College London.

Chris Tack is the clinical lead of the private physiotherapy service and clinical specialist physiotherapist. Qualified for over 10 years, he has extensive experience in managing neuro-musculoskeletal problems, sports injuries and occupational health injuries.
Chris uses a combined treatment approach to help clients optimise their rehabilitation, including the use of Rehabilitative Conditioning™. He has developed this model of exercise prescription, which is specific for injured tissue, to assist clients to return to sport and full activity. He also has qualifications in soft tissue massage therapies, acupuncture and manual therapy.
Chris is experienced in managing all kinds of sportspeople. However, he’s best known for his work on strength and conditioning practices with mixed martial artists and combat sports athletes, for which he was published in the renowned Strength & Conditioning Journal in 2013. Before working for Guys & St Thomas’, Chris worked in research for the National Institute of Clinical Health & Care Excellence where he assisted in the formation of the Low Back Pain Guideline (published in 2009).
Chris is a guest lecturer at King’s College London where he has taught on topics such as chronic back pain management, manual therapy, research in physiotherapy and scope of practice for physiotherapists in sport.
Clinical area of interest: Low back pain, exercise rehabilitation and return to sport, occupational health, upper limb and spine disorders.

BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy, MSc Advanced Neuromusculoskeletal Physiotherapy, MCSP
Faye Shorthouse is one of the team’s clinical specialist physiotherapists. After qualifying from the University of Hertfordshire with a first-class honours degree, Faye worked in the NHS specialising in treating complex neuro-musculoskeletal injuries. She also worked with Premier League professional football team Fulham FC, and assists varying degrees of athletes at endurance events such as the London Marathon.
Faye’s career progression continued with completion of an MSc in Advanced Neuromusculoskeletal Physiotherapy. She has also assisted in developing and running clinical research at the internationally recognised King’s College London and Imperial College. Maintaining evidence-based practice and promoting clinical research and teaching are integral to her practice.
Faye is active and athletic and enjoys cycling, running and cross-fit training. She has a passion for skiing and is an advanced scuba diver.
