Evelina London’s Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) is the lead centre for critically ill children for the south Thames region and provides a wide range of services and clinical expertise.
Paediatric intensive care supports our complex care services including cardiac, spinal, ENT, renal and airway surgery.
You can be assured that your child will receive the most up to date treatment and care from a dedicated team that will make special efforts to meet the needs of children, young people and their families.
Our specialist multi-disciplinary team is made up of healthcare professionals who have a wealth of experience and expertise in caring for critically ill children. The team is led by a matron and consultant doctors known as intensivists. They are supported by highly skilled nursing and medical staff, as well as technicians, pharmacists, therapists, counsellors, dietitians, play specialists, chaplains, clerical and housekeeping staff.
