Our location on the same site as maternity services at St Thomas’ means we care for mothers and babies before and after birth. We provide specialist care for babies with complex problems (including cardiac, surgical and neurological conditions).
We’re a centre of excellence for neonatal research, in association with our academic partner, King’s College London. Our new-born imaging centre is a clinical research facility within the neonatal intensive care unit. It is home to a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanner, so that premature or sick babies have immediate access to excellent imaging facilities.
