Our highly skilled and professional team of specialist paediatric audiologists provide hearing assessment and rehabilitation services for children of all ages.
Testing for ENT referrals includes:
- case history
- otoscopy
- tympanometry
- age-appropriate behavioural testing
- written report.
Upon request, we will also perform (at an extra charge per test):
- otoacoustic emission
- speech discrimination
- acoustic reflex testing.
Parental referrals, or referrals from any other professionals, includes comprehensive behavioural assessment for pre-school and school-age children:
- case history
- otoscopy
- tympanometry
- age-appropriate behavioural testing
- acoustic reflexes
- otoacoustic emissions
- speech testing
- counselling
- written report.
Parental referrals, or referrals from any other professionals, includes comprehensive electrophysiological assessment for infants (0-6 months of age):
- case history
- otoscopy
- tympanometry
- auditory brainstem response testing
- otoacoustic emissions
- counselling
- written report.
Please note that paediatric testing relies on co-operation and the developmental age of the child. It may not be possible to complete every test we need to but we’ll try them all.
Pre-school age children (over six months of age) are seen by two paediatric audiologists.
School-age children and infants are generally seen by one paediatric audiologist.
